Forgive the pun, but Parker Thompson just keeps on rolling.

The Red Deer racer went ttwo for three over the weekend at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park, formerly known as Mosport International Raceway.

After a one-off deal that saw him go two for two at the Montreal Grand Prix last weekend, the first event of the Toyo Tires F1600 Super Series, Thompson and Badlands Motorsports Resort decided to move on to event two.

The 19-year-old would indeed go on to win the second and third of three races over the weekend, maintaining a very secure grip on the top spot in the standings of the four event series.

If Thompson’s team can find the funding, event three is August 11 to 13 at the Circuit Trois Rivieres in Quebec. Event four in late August is at Calabogie Motorsports Park in Ontario. Thompson says he doesn’t want to get ahead of himself, but if he can get to and sweep the races during event three, racing the final event may not even be necessary to win the title.

Thompson remains scheduled to compete back on the Cooper Tires USF2000 series this weekend at Road America in Wisconsin. He sits fourth in the USF2000 standings.
