Renderings released for new bike skills park in Blackfalds

Blackfalds residents are getting their first look this week at what the new bike skills park will look like once construction is complete at the end of August.

Renderings were approved at Tuesday night’s Blackfalds town council meeting.

The bike skills park, which will be located at All-Star Park, features jumps for all skill levels, a pump track, a skills area and a perimeter trail.

The best news council received is that the project is not only on time, but that the new parking lot is under budget.

The total projected cost was $500,000, including $150,000 for the parking lot. With paving coming in at about $100,000, that leaves $400,000 for the park, around $50,000 more than originally expected.
