High-heeled guys hit the trail for Walk A Mile In Her Shoes

They included RCMP officers, football and hockey players, and even some out-of-shape radio hosts.

Local men from all walks of life put their pride aside for a great cause Thursday.

About 200 men took part in the sixth annual “Walk A Mile In Her Shoes” event in support of the International Men’s March To Stop Rape, Sexual Assault and Gender Violence.

Organized by the Women’s Outreach Centre, the event brings its fair share of laughs, but also important awareness for the serious issue that is domestic violence.

Officials say the final fundraising totals are still being added up, but they are thrilled with this year’s turnout.
