Red Deer May home starts

RED DEER- CMHC is out with housing start numbers for Red Deer in May.

Work began on 24 single family homes, that is 15 more than in May of 2016.

There were no multiple unit starts last month.

So far this year there have been 96 home starts in Red Deer.

There were 214 at this time a year ago.

More multiple home starts in 2016 is the main reason for the higher number.
