Fatal house fire in Killam ruled non-suspicious

May 25, 2017 | 7:20 AM

The RCMP say a 55-year-old woman and her dog were found dead in a central Alberta home that caught fire last week.

Police and firefighters say the front of the home was heavily damaged in last Thursday’s blaze in Daysland, about 130 kilometres southeast of Edmonton.

The female owner — who lived alone — and the dog were found dead inside.

Police have determined the fire started by accident.
