Red Deer RCMP arrest man with loaded shotgun in stolen vehicle

Red Deer RCMP have charged a 23-year-old man after locating him in a stolen car with a loaded sawed off shotgun over the long weekend.

Shortly before 6 a.m. on Monday morning, RCMP were on patrol downtown when they located a Ford Mustang with a stolen license plate. 

They discovered that not only was the driver in possession of the loaded firearm, but methamphetamine as well. During his arrest, the suspect unsuccessfully attempted to flee police.

Lee Pratt faces 17 counts related to possession of stolen property and drugs, breach of probation, possession of a prohibited and modified firearm, assault of a peace officer, and driving while disqualified.
