May 19, 2017 | 12:16 PM

The Alberta Sport Development Centre – Central (ASDC-C) is pleased to announce that their Male Athlete of the Month for May 2017 is Adam Fort.

Fort, is a 14-year-old Red Deer resident, a Grade 9 student at Hunting Hills High School (HHHS) and is active competitively in the sports of football and rugby.

As a football athlete, Adam competes with the HHHS Lightning. In his final year with the bantam team he was named a Central Football League All-Star and the Lightning’s Lineman of the Year.

As a Rugby athlete Adam plays the ‘prop’ position as a member of the Red Deer Titans Rugby Club 15U team. Last season with the Titans, Adam led his team to an undefeated regular season capturing their 2nd consecutive league championship.  Fort was then selected to Alberta Rugby Union’s (ARU) 16U Central Alberta Elite team.

This coming Rugby season Adam aspires to lead his 15U Titans team to a Provincial Championship and represent the Titans as a member of Central Alberta Elite squad and the ARU 16U Provincial Team.  Adam’s goal is to one day Rugby professionally overseas!

Adam’s athletic gifts and desire to excel in everything he does, combined with his training/education experiences with ASDC-Central (and the Titans Rugby Club’s School of Rugby) will only see him continue to grow and develop in his sporting career!

ASDC-Central thanks Tom Bast Sports for celebrating the ASDC-Central Athlete of the Month recipients by the provision of commemorative apparel for each recipient.
