An investigation is underway after Red Deer RCMP say they responded to a non-suspicious death this morning in Kin Canyon.

Officers were on scene for about two hours after finding the deceased man just before 10 a.m.

The body was located near the Kin Canyon Bridge off 32 Street.

"At this point in the investigation, RCMP do not believe the death is suspicious, and there is no risk to the public," Cpl. Karen Kay says in a release. "The body of the deceased male will be sent for autopsy to determine the cause of death; the date for the autopsy has not been set yet."
