Mounties investigate fatal crash near Tees

BLACKFALDS – RCMP are investigating a fatal crash.

At approximately 4:00 p.m. on Monday, police and emergency services responded to a serious three vehicle collision on Highway 12 at Highway 821 near Tees.

The crash occurred when an east bound Ford F-350 truck stopped to make a left turn into Tees and was struck from behind by a semi.

The impact resulted in the pickup being forced into an oncoming Chevrolet Tahoe SUV.

The 37-year-old man driving the SUV was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Ford truck and the driver of the semi were transported to hospital with non-life threatening injuries.

Speed and alcohol are not considered factors in the incident.

The identity of the deceased will not be released.
