SYLVAN LAKE- This year's Veterans Voices of Canada-Flags of Remembrance ceremonies will take place in 16 communities across Canada on October 7th.

Included is the original tribute site near Sylvan Lake that started it all.

Other Alberta communities that will host ceremonies are Ponoka, Edson and Whitecourt.

Veterans Voices of Canada founder Allan Cameron says "The very 'cool factor' about the program is that all sites raise their flags one by one at the same moment across Canada...truly and amazing site to behold and to be a part of."

Cameron adds they are now taking sponsorships to honour a Veteran hero and to have their name on the hero plaques.

Contact us at [email protected] to sponsor or for more information.

The cutoff date is August 19th.
