Top female hockey players selected for Alberta Challenge rosters

Hockey Alberta has announced its rosters for the 2017 Alberta Challenge.

Six teams (three North, three South) made up of female players born in 2002 and 2003 will battle at the Olds Sportsplex May 3-7.

Rosters were selected based on performances at zone camps held April 7-9 in Fort Saskatchewan and April 14-16 in Olds.

“The Alberta Challenge is a core Hockey Alberta Female Development program, providing players, coaches, therapists, equipment managers, administrators and referees an equal opportunity to discover the great qualities of competitive hockey,” according to the Hockey Alberta website.

The event takes place in alternating years when the Alberta Winter Games are not held.
