Sunrise Records says it will be moving into the former HMV location at Bower Place in Red Deer.

In January, HMV Canada announced it was going into receivership and would be closing each of its stores across Canada by April 30. Creditors filed the receivership application after saying they were owed $39 million and had not received any cash payments from HMV since November 2014.

In a release dated April 6, Sunrise Records announced that they'd be moving into Bower Place after it was left off of their initial list of 70 former HMV locations unveiled in March.

An opening date for the Ontario-based company's new record store in Red Deer has not been set.
