Building permit values continue to increase in October

Officials with the City of Red Deer say building permit values increased in October, with 76 approved permits valued at over $5.4 million, compared with 73 permits issued in October 2021 worth over $4.4 million.

Year-to-date building permit values remain higher as well in 2022, with current values at $143.6 million compared with $91.2 million last year.

Notable permits include:

  • Building permit to replace paint coating line at 6740 65 Avenue, valued at $1.3 million
  • Building permit for interior renovations to existing building at 72 Calder Street, valued at $894,000
  • Building permit for new detached dwelling at 61 Noble Avenue, valued at $261,000
  • Building permit for tenant improvements at 1217-2827 30 Avenue, valued at $200,000
  • Building permit for new detached dwelling with uncovered rear deck and basement development at 4706 57 Street, valued at $177,000
